Even though I say how to market your blog in 2012, I actually mean your business or your product. For me my blog is my business and my product.

Market Your Blog

You do everything from on page seo to off page seo and all the marketing that you can to ensure you get maximum visibility. But that is not all, its all about generating leads, making sales and bringing in that revenue that puts the food on the table. Today, I will share with you some of my secrets to marketing my blog successfully in 2o12.

Optimize Your Blog For Lead Conversion

There are several thousand bloggers out there still not focusing on lead conversions. Its important for a blogger who is looking to make money online to set up optins to generate leads. Create landing pages, drive traffic to landing pages to increase conversion. Entice your readers to sign up. In every sales process, Leads are key. Without leads you cant really sell anything.

Work Out A Social Media Strategy

Many marketers randomly post out content on to social networks hoping to drive traffic and gain popularity. It does not always work that way, even though it might work for some, its not the best way forward. Write out a plan, put down what your going to do and when, keep your social media activities organized. Do no over do it. In this process do not neglect your blog.

Analyze Your Data

As part of your social media strategy, remember to have a section to track your activities so that at the end of the month you can analyze that data and understand what worked well and what did not work. This way you can tweak your social media strategy for better performance.

Measure ROI For Your Social Media Initiatives

Because you were smart you set up a social media strategy, and you analyzed your data. Now because you did these things, you are now able to measure ROI on your social media activities. But how are you going to measure them? A big question that even the large enterprise businesses are fumbling over. Its simple though, you measure them just the way you measure a traditional marketing campaign.

Engage With Your Audience

Its important to constantly engage with your audience on social networks, because unlike traditional marketing you are expected to be there and respond to questions, share tips and tricks and more. This was not there with traditional marketing. Social media also provides you an opportunity to build a rapport with your potential customers and build trust.

Now, that I’ve shared my plan to make your blog success in 2012, what are you planning on doing? Follow me, or do you have something planned?
