- Do you have your focus keyword in your Page Title?
- Do you have your focus keyword as part of your Page Meta Description?
- Do you have your focus keyword at the beginning of your Headline(H1) and H2 – H3 Tags?
- Do you have your focus keyword in your BODY Tag, links (anchor text) with special styling?
- What is your Keyword Weight or Keyword Density?
- Do you have your focus keyword in the first 500 visible characters of your post/page?

This is important stuff. I am using SEO Pressor, a SEO plugin for WordPress in order to help me remember all the important SEO stuff for each post. I used to just write, and I didn’t optimize anything at all. I have seen lot of new traffic after I started focusing on SEO.

Hi Eddie, over the last two years I have been rather ignorant to SEO and what I mean by that is I haven’t done anything special with regards to SEO keyword researching or anything. All great tips. With article length I would like to add that there really isn’t a standard. It depends on the article you are writing. Some articles require exhaustive analysis so should be long, others should do fine at with 200-500 words. If you make it too long, people will get bored reading. SEO should be couple with good quality content. Otherwise, the efforts are just a waste.
